LightAware meets with UK Department for Transport

January 19, 2018 Filed Under: News

LightAware have held a very productive meeting with the Department for Transport’s Steve Berry OBE, Head Highways Maintenance, Innovation, Resilience, Light Rail and Cableways Branch, and Gary Kemp Policy Advisor, Local Infrastructure Division.  We discussed LightAware’s concerns about LED street lights, and the pain, ill health and social exclusion they are causing to people who are unable to tolerate them. We agreed that it is necessary to review and identify the gaps in current research on LED, and plan to work together on ways to help those affected in the future.
