From time to time LightAware may modify these terms and conditions, so please continue to review these when you use the site. Use of this website indicates that you accept the terms and conditions which apply to your use of the online shop. If, for any reason, you decide that you do not wish to accept these terms and conditions then you should not use this website for purchasing products.
LightAware agrees to supply products to you through this website and you agree to accept the products available through this website, subject to the terms and conditions set out below. Changes to the terms and conditions set out below may be updated on this website (and without notice to you). Continued use of this website after such changes have been made shall be deemed to be evidence of your awareness, and irrevocable acceptance, of such changes.
All copyrights on this website are strictly reserved to LightAware, including illustrations, pictures, sounds, scripts, animation and any other material appearing on the website.
If you are unable to use the internet we can send you a list of available items and an order form by post. To request an online order form please email info@lightaware.org. The terms and conditions in this document apply to all orders, and is not exclusive to the LightAware website shop. You can pay for your offline order by cheque, payable to ‘LightAware’ or directly through your bank.
If you use the LightAware online shop you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer and devices, and to the extent permitted by applicable law you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that your password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that this has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be used in an unauthorised manner. You are responsible for ensuring that the details you provide us with are correct and complete, and for informing us of any changes to the information you have provided. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts or remove or edit content if you are in breach of applicable laws, or any applicable terms and conditions, guidelines or policies.
We don’t currently accept overseas orders through our website. If you would like to purchase something from our online shop please contact us at info@lightaware.org.
All payments for goods made through the LightAware website will be procured through a secure browser. All authority for payments must be made at the time the order is completed. Payments can be made by authorised credit or debit card (most major credit and debit cards are accepted, although we do not accept American Express). No payment shall be deemed to have been received by us until funds are cleared. All orders are subject to the credit/debit card being approved. Payments are approved using 3D secure.
Please ensure that the expiry date of the credit/debit card is at least 28 days after the date of your confirmed order. As payment is deducted immediately prior to dispatch, we will be unable to take payment to fulfil your order if the card has expired. You agree to indemnify us in full against all administration charges, costs and expenses incurred by us in obtaining payment(s) from you in the event of a failed payment.
Postal rates are reviewed regularly and are subject to change. We use Royal Mail, 2nd class for all deliveries. Postage and packaging Postage and packaging is £3.95 for all orders except LightAware cards which are posted free of charge, and this will be shown at the checkout before payment.
Goods will, in the absence of specified notification and/or at your request, normally be dispatched within five working days. Please allow a further three days for delivery.
We make every effort to ensure that the items and descriptions provided in our online shop are accurate. Please note that all sizes are approximate, and colours and designs may vary. If, when you receive the goods, you are not satisfied with our description, you should refer to our returns information below. In the event of a pricing error, we may contact you before delivery to offer you the goods at the correct price, or a full refund.
If for any reason you are unhappy with the goods you have ordered, you may return them to LightAware for an exchange or refund at any time during the period of 28 days, beginning from the day on which you receive the goods as the first day, provided you have told us within a reasonable time of receipt of the goods.
Goods shall not be accepted for exchange out with this 28 day period except in exceptional circumstances, as to which LightAware shall be the sole judge. Please advise us that you intend to return the goods by email to info@lightaware.org stating your reason for the return and for details of how to return the item.
You should then return the goods to us, as far as reasonably possible in their original condition and packaging with the original receipt.
You are responsible for the cost of returning any goods to us for exchange or refund, except in cases of faulty, damaged or wrongly supplied goods. We recommend you obtain a certificate of posting when you return the goods. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
‘Membership discount’ may be provided, for certain products, as a benefit of a valid and current subscription to LightAware.
Any relevant membership discount will be applied automatically once logged in.
Membership discounts not applied automatically to eligible online orders are non-recoverable. Discounts may not be applied retrospectively to orders already accepted.
From time to time we may reduce the price of an item on our website as a sale item. Sale items are available to members and non-members.
The information on this site is posted in good faith but we cannot guarantee its completeness or accuracy.
The materials provided on this site are provided “as is” without any warranties of any kind, including, but without prejudice to the foregoing generality, any warranty as to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement of intellectual property, save as expressly set out in these terms and conditions, or implied by law.
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure is caused by, or due to, any matter beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation and without prejudice to the foregoing generality:

Applicable laws may not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damage so the limitation or exclusion may not apply to you in its entirety.
